It's bad news for Nando's fans.
Nando’s is hoping to reopen all restaurants on Saturday afterLoyal customers were gutted as the Portuguese chicken chain closed around 50 outlets and reduced the opening hours of others.
The situation was blamed on staff shortages and Covid isolation as bosses admitted they were ‘having a mare’. A Nando’s spokesperson told Metro.co.uk: ‘The UK food industry has been experiencing disruption across its supply chain in recent weeks due to staff shortages and Covid isolations, and a number of our restaurants have been impacted.
‘It is our intention to have all of our restaurants up and trading again from this Saturday, as a result of the hard work behind the scenes, and we look forward to welcoming our customers back to enjoy their favourite PERi-PERi chicken.’KFC has also been affected by supply issues, with the fast-food chain saying some items would not be available this week due to ‘some disruption’.
