Capcom’s action role-player Dragon’s Dogma 2 lets you explore an open world with all types of monsters, as well as AI-controlled companions and microtransactions. The latter has not gone down well with fans, and so one particularly crafty explorer has found a way to manipulate the game’s economy system to make a lot of gold.
The strategy can be so lucrative that it makes buying Wakestones – a rare item that revives dead characters – as a 89p microtransaction pointless. A Wakestone is made by assembling three Wake Shards, and so if you can bring in tens of thousands of gold in a single mission you could easily buy the Wake Shards with the gold you make. ‘Is this Dragon’s Dogma’s version of financial fraud? LOL,’ Christusmajestatis commented on Reddit.
