Crews raced out to the scene
Huge flames soared on an M60 slip road after a car burst into flames. Images show the moment the black Vauxhall Zafira became engulfed by the side of the motorway at junction 26, in Stockport.
One lane was closed on the exit slip road at junction 26 clockwise while crews dealt with the blaze this afternoon . No one was inside the vehicle as flames soared in the area, the Manchester Evening News understands. No injuries were reported following the fire. Crews worked to make the scene safe, the service said. Delays built up on the nearby Crookilley Way as the fire took place.The slip road has now reopened. Delays in the area have since eased.
