Quite simply, she’s best friend material.Today is major cause for celebration, then, because Barrymore is eyeing up the world of daytime TV., CBS Television Distribution have identified that Barrymore has just the kind of personality for daytime TV, and have just greenlit a pilot for a potential talk show, which the actress shot this week in New York.
There’s no word yet on what the hourlong show will look like, but Barrymore is now a badass multi-hyphenate, , so is expected to serve as an executive producer through her Flower Films company. It’s a pretty great time for daytime TV in general right now, with several new shows set to debut in the autumn. Kelly Clarkson is, where she’ll be chatting current affairs and interviewing celebrity guests. And if Clarkson’s chart hits are your karaoke go-to, you won’t be disappointed either, because the show will also feature snippets of live music from the singer and her backing band.news anchor Tamron Hall will be taking to the small screen once more in a new daytime TV show for Disney/ABC.
Elsewhere YouTube star Lilly Singh is set to make history as the only female host on a major US television network when her late-night NBC talk show launches in September. The show,will reportedly channel the spirit of Singh’s YouTube channel, which means we’ll be in for some side-splitting sketches.
“I’m so excited because I truly get to create a show from scratch. I get to make it inclusive, I get to create comedy segments and interview people — [to] really create something that I believe in,” Singh remarked during an appearance on“Huge shoutout to all the women who’ve been before me and are currently in this space because I couldn’t have done it without them paving the way,” Singh continued. “But I do think it’s a little awesome for an Indian-Canadian woman.
