The Audi driver, a man in his 30s, was taken to Kettering General Hospital on Saturday but died the following day from serious injuries
A man in his 30s has died following a serious collision on the A45 on Saturday, according to Northamptonshire Police. The driver lost his fight in Kettering General Hospital hours after the three-car collision.
The major crash took place on the A45 Nene Valley Way between Stanwick and Raunds on Saturday, February 25. The unnamed driver overtook a grey Skoda Karoc in his Silver Audi A3 but collided with a grey Ford Mondeo travelling in the opposite direction. The Audi then collided with the Skoda. Both the Audi driver and passenger, also a man in his 30s, sustained serious injuries and the driver was taken to KGH by emergency services.The driver of the Mondeo, a man in his 30s, sustained minor injuries. The occupants of the Skoda were not injured.
Northants Police confirmed in an appeal today that the Audi driver passed away the following day, Sunday February 26. They are now asking the public to assist with their investigation. A spokesperson said: "Officers would like to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the incident or who may have dash-cam footage of the actual collision or the vehicles travelling on the A45 prior to the incident."
