A man ran from officers following a stop carried out by Roads Policing on the A73, resulting in an old-fashioned foot chase.As soon as officers stopped the car, the 40-year-old driver ran off on foot and was pursued by officers who gave chase. The man was eventually caught and later arrested and charged.

Police Scotland have said: "A 40-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the incident. He is due to appear at Airdrie Sheriff Court on Thursday, 27 April, 2023."
