People across the country have been urged not to travel while a series of weather warnings are in place.
Heavy rainfall and strong winds are predicted to hit the county tonight after a rare red 'danger to life warning' was issued by the Met Office and is set to stay in place until Friday at 12. Difficult weather conditions have led to trees being uprooted and public transport being suspended.Kilmelford Bridge in Argyll and Bute has been closed for urgent repairs, and drivers are to avoid travelling to the area if possible.
Taking to X formerly known as Twitter, the bus operator said: "Due to the RED weather warning, we are planning that all services will be cancelled from 6pm Today to Friday 8am. We are sorry for the inconvenience this may cause, but the safety of our passengers and our staff are a priority." The next two days will see huge travel disruption across Scotland as transport authorities take every precaution to ensure safety. Trains and flights have already been cancelled and there is a warning for landslides in northern areas of Scotland.
