The former Fulham and Borussia Dortmund star uploaded a series of pictures on his Instagram account, wearing just shorts, a hat and boots as he mastered terrifying-looking conditions.Schurrle revealed this was part of the Wim Hof experience, joining the Dutch ‘Iceman’, who is world-renowned for his breathing techniques and ability to brave extraordinary temperatures.
Explaining his new look, Schurrle wrote: “Day 3 of the @iceman_hof experience and up the summit with our beautiful crew!! “The hardest mental and physical thing I ever did! The last minute I couldn’t feel anything and I had to find something deep inside me to keep going! “An experience that I will never forget! -19 degrees, 100 km/h wind in our faces, heavy snow and rain! What I learned…My body and I are stronger than I thought. If I put my mind and soul to it I can do everything.”
