Police officers in East Kilbride, Lanarkshire, disrupted a suspected drug deal on Tuesday, January 28, 2025. Plain clothes officers from the Priority Policing Team observed the alleged transaction taking place on Telford Road. Following the incident, officers recovered approximately £160 worth of cannabis and £180 in cash. A 47-year-old man and a 45-year-old woman were subsequently charged in connection with the incident.
A report detailing the findings has been submitted to the Procurator Fiscal, the Scottish equivalent of a prosecutor. Police Scotland shared details of the operation on social media, stating, 'On Tuesday the 28th of January 2025 Plain clothes officers from the Priority Policing Team in East Kilbride observed a suspected drug deal on Telford Road East Kilbride. Officers were able to recover £160 worth of cannabis and £180 in cash. A 47 year old male and a 45 year old female were charged and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.'
