Drug kingpin Tony Mokbel has been transferred to a Melbourne hospital after he was rushed out of Barwon Prison with a suspected blood clot. 9News
Mokbel fled Australia in 2006 while facing multiple drug charges, and was charged in absentia with murder, for which he was ultimately acquitted.
He was arrested as a fugitive in Greece in 2007 and returned to Australia in 2008, where he began serving time in jail on a previous sentence, which has since been quashed.The high-profile criminal has been in isolation since he was attacked in 2019.Continue reading
