Drug syndicates are arming some of their peddlers for protection, aside from providing free supplies of illegal drugs for personal use as incentives, according to a veteran anti-narcotics operative. The suspect was placed under police custody and would face charges of violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 and another case for illegal possession of a firearm. INQ
