Cops helped him to a bench before putting him under arrest
Kenneth Patterson, 25, made the vile comments to an unknown Asian victim in Glasgow city centre on April 7, 2022.The man crossed the road and approached Patterson.The fiscal depute said:"A physical altercation took place between Patterson and the man."Police later attended to find Patterson on the ground while under the influence of alcohol.Patterson, of Broomhill, pleaded guilty to behaving in a threatening or abusive manner which was racially aggravated.
Sheriff Jonathan Guy sentenced him to 54 days for the present offence which will run concurrently to the other jail term. He said:"Your behaviour on this night was unacceptable and the type of comments you made are ones that cause significant issues."Having regard that you are in custody, there is no there is no other option to sentence to imprisonment."
