The flight from Glasgow Airport to Antalya was forced to divert to Thessaloniki Airport in the North of Greece at around 10.30pm local time on Sunday, October 15, after the passenger reportedly punched and tried to bite crew.
An 'intoxicated' woman who forced a Jet2 flight from Glasgow to Turkey to make an emergency landing in Greece has claimed a 'panic attack' led her to become aggressive towards flight crews.
According to reports, crew members had attempted to calm the 61 year old who attacked crew before attempting to injure herself by hitting her face on a seat. The Jet2 pilot requested the emergency landing citing safety concerns over the woman's aggressive behaviour.
