A drunk driver ploughed into four teenage pedestians leaving two with serious injuries. Peter Adenuga, was more than twice over the drink-drive limit when his Mercedes hit the group as they stopped to speak to a taxi driver.
The group were walking down Budworth Road, Northwich, at 11.30pm on July 16 2022 when Adenuga of Greengage, Ardwick, Manchester, slammed into four of the five pedestrians who had stopped.The 29-year-old was breathalysed at the scene by officers and was subsequently arrested. He later registered a reading of 82mg of alcohol in 100ml of breath - the legal limit is just 35mg.He was later also charged with causing serious injury by dangerous driving and was found guilty following a trial.
