Two mothers in Chester were found guilty of assaulting a woman, leaving her with a permanent scar after a drunken altercation in a bar.
A woman has been left scarred for life after she was attacked by two drunk mothers during a late-night catfight. Darcy Mossman was attacked after she left the toilets at Bonobo bar in Chester , leaving her with a 3cm cut to her forehead. She was wounded when Ffion Dutton, 26, threw a wine glass at her after the pair previously poured spirits on each other. Dutton's friend, Katie Roberts, was also caught punching Ms Mossman to the ground outside the toilets.
Describing the impact of having the scar on her face and how the assault had affected her socially, Ms Mossman said: 'The scarring has put a huge dent in my confidence. I find that I am more reserved and withdrawn.' The duo faced jail but walked free after claiming their children would 'suffer' if they went to prison. Chester Crown Court heard how all three women were enjoying a night out in Chester city centre when the 'unprovoked attack' happened on March 23. Prosecutor Shannon Stewart told the court: 'While in Church Bar, Miss Mossman saw both defendants. Childcare worker Katie Roberts, punched Miss Mossman twice to the side of head, knocking her to the ground Mother of two Ffion Dutton, threw a glass at Ms Mossman while she was on the ground Miss Stewart added: 'Also as a result of this incident, Miss Mossman did detail in a second statement that she sustained minor bumps and bruises and a larger bruise to the right forearm. She has a permanent scar on her forehead.' 'Ffion Dutton is then said to have swilled Miss Mossman by throwing her drink over her and as a result of this she threw the contents of her drink back towards Miss Dutton and walked away. 'Miss Mossman then went to a bar called Bonobo where she saw Ffion Dutton again in the toilets and confronted her about the inciden
