A small fire in Oakengates was started by a drying towel
Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service dispatched a fire engine from Telford Central at 8am on Wednesday after an automatic fire alarm alerted them to a property fire at Slaney Court in the Oakengates area of the town. The fire service said the alarm was activated following small blaze caused by a towel left on a radiator.
Crews used breathing apparatus and a hosereel jet to extinguish the flames and a stop message was recorded at 8.16am.
