The regional office of the Department of Social Welfare and Development is reinforcing the promotion of the Lifeline Rate Subsidy Program of Davao Light and Power Company, Inc.

Margie G. Cabido, division chief of Pantawid Pamilya Pilipino Program, said on Monday that they are targeting to saturate the 250,000 4Ps in the Davao Region for the said program. Qualified beneficiaries that may apply for the lifeline rate are beneficiary subject to the “4Ps Act” or Republic Act 11310; and customer who is considered one of the poorest of the poor as defined by the Philippine Statistics Authority.

The implementation of the Lifeline Rate Subsidy is based on Republic Act 11552, entitled “An Act Extending and Enhancing the Implementation of the Lifeline Rate.
