Daniel Dubois has called out Oleksandr Usyk for a rematch after his recent victory over Anthony Joshua. The British heavyweight wants another shot at the Ukrainian champion, aiming to avenge his previous defeat.
After his fight, Dubois, 27, entered the ring and made his intentions of fighting Usyk clear. A bout between the pair would mean that all four ‘recognised’ belts would be up for grabs, with the winner likely to become the undisputed heavyweight champion. 'Well done on tonight. God bless. Let's get it. Let's go. Where's Frank ? Make it happen!' 'Make me fight with Daniel Dubois. Thank you so much.
' The pair previously fought in Poland back in 2023, with Usyk knocking the Brit out in the ninth round. But it was the fifth round of the fight that raised a few eyebrows. During the round, Dubois floored the Ukrainian with a body shot, but the referee deemed the shot a low blow and gave Usyk time to recover. Now, a video has emerged of Usyk seemingly aiming a dig at the British fighter. The ‘Cat’ was shown a graphic of himself holding a briefcase and a gun, appearing to leave several of his former opponents, including Tony Bellew, Derek Chisora, Anthony Joshua, and Dubois, behind. 'Why,' asked a person behind the camera. 'Tony Bellew, my best friend, Derek too, maybe Anthony too, Dubois not, Fury maybe,' the Ukrainian added. Dubois last fought back in September 2024, when he put in a flawless performance knocking Joshua out in the fifth round of their heavyweight clash at Wembley. The Brit currently sports an impressive record of 22 wins - 21 by knockout - and just two losses, one against Usyk and the other against Joe Joyce in November 2020
