Sophie, Countess of Wessex, attended the Royal British Legion Festival of Remembrance at the Royal Albert Hall alongside other senior royals on Saturday night
Duchess Sophie looked solemn at the Royal Albert Hall on Saturday evening, joining other senior royals for the Royal British Legion Festival of Remembrance. She was stunning in a bespoke black velvet Suzannah Grandad dress, paired with Christian Dior patent leather pumps. Her accessories included a regimental brooch from the Queen's Own Yeomanry, where she serves as Royal Colonel, and a poppy brooch.
A Buckingham Palace spokesperson stated: "Following doctors' guidance to ensure a full recovery from a seasonal chest infection, and to protect others from any potential risk, Her Majesty will not attend this weekend's Remembrance events.", reports the Express. Her Majesty is currently recuperating at Ray Mill House, her private residence in Wiltshire, and plans to be back in London for several engagements next week. The first on her schedule is a Booker Prize reception at Clarence House on Tuesday.
