Former four-year Duke basketball player Grayson Allen has earned himself a hefty contract extension after putting together a career-best season in Phoenix.

Despite playing four seasons as a Duke basketball guard, winning the 2015 national title, and scoring nearly 2,000 points in college, many people doubted Grayson Allen’s ability to produce in the NBA.Now, nearly six years since he was selected with the No. 21 overall pick in the 2018 NBA Draft, Allen has cemented himself as a key player on an NBA contender. And in doing so, he has earned a massive payday.

The 28-year-old, who was traded to Phoenix this summer after spending his previous two campaigns with the Milwaukee Bucks, put together a career-best season. Across 75 games, he averaged 13.5 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 3.0 assists in 33.5 minutes per game, career-highs in every category. Allen also was incredibly efficient from the field, shooting nearly 50 percent from the field and a league-leading 46.1 percent beyond the arc. His 49.9 percent shooting from the field, 46.1 percent from deep, and 87.8 percent at the charity stripe saw him finish just shy of a coveted 50/40/90 season.

Grayson Allen ended the regular season number 1️⃣ in the NBA in 3PT percentage at 46.1% , making over 200+ 3PT this season. Thank you for trusting me for almost three years with your jump-shot. More work to be done!🎯 -Stay locked in!His strong play on the season helped power the Suns to the No. 6 seed in the Western Conference, earning them a direct playoff berth and an upcoming matchup with the No. 3 seed Minnesota Timberwolves.

Regardless of how this season ends for the Suns, it appears that Grayson Allen is set to be a core piece alongside Kevin Durant, Devin Booker, and Bradley Beal moving forward.
