The children set off on the 50km bike ride to raise money for the Ma's Kitchen charity.
Two local children hopped on their bikes and set off to raise an incredible £1524 for local not-for-profit organisation Ma’s Kitchen.
Ma’s Kitchen was established in response to the growing number of children going hungry at weekends when school lunches are unavailable. Foodbanks do tremendous work in supporting families but for some it is not enough, and many children have little or nothing to eat at weekends when schools are closed. They opened up their own kitchens and every weekend deliver freshly prepared meals to children across the Stirling area.
Mum Lucie said: “For some time now Jack and Erin have been planning to put their love of biking to good use by doing a sponsored cycle.“When we heard about Ma’s Kitchen, they knew instantly that it was the cause they wanted to support.”“We wanted to help children who are less fortunate.”Alisha said: “Ma’s Kitchen are extremely thankful and overwhelmed with the generosity and determination of both Jack and Erin.
