Andrew Bridgen , who joined the Reclaim Party earlier this year after being kicked out of the Conservatives , demanded that Tory Crispin Blunt apologise for the 'chop' in Parliament on Monday.
An ex-Tory MP has reported a former colleague to Parliamentary authorities, saying he publicly slapped him and called him a 'b*****d'.
Mr Bridgen, an anti-vaxxer who was kicked out the Tories in January for branded the life-saving Covid vaccines 'the biggest crime against humanity since the Holocaust', told the Sunday Express Mr Blunt was an 'unashamed apologist for Hamas'. It came the day after Mr Bridgen had used a newspaper interview to question why he had been expelled by the Tories while Mr Blunt, a former justice minister, remained in the party despite opposing Hamas being proscribed as a terrorist group.
'I was just completely shocked. That's not the behaviour you would expect from a Member of Parliament. I'm asking for an apology, it's just unbelievable behaviour.'A parliamentary spokesman said: 'The Behaviour Code makes clear the standards of behaviour expected of everyone in Parliament - whether MPs, staff, Members' staff, members of the House of Lords, press, contractors or visitors.
