Opposition Leader Peter Dutton has called for the visas of foreign nationals found to involved in incidents of violent social unrest to be cancelled and the individuals to be deported.

Opposition Leader says it is a"reasonable expectation" for temporary visa holders in Australia to have their residence rights revoked if they disrupt the public order through acts of violence.

Opposition Leader Peter Dutton has doubled down on his view non-citizens in Australia who threaten the public order should be deported. Picture: Lisa Maree Williams/Getty Images It saw close to 100 police cars damaged, several officers injured, and paramedics forced to take refuge inside the church building where the boy was being held.

“Depending on the evidence available to authorities, if people have acted outside of the law, then they should face the full impact of the law,” the opposition leader said. Mr Dutton’s comments come as a reiteration of his long-held views that visa holders who threaten the Australian status quo should face deportation on the grounds of an unfitting character.
