The Government department has issued a new update
The Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency has sent out a fresh alert to all UK drivers, advising them to take just "five minutes" to help streamline their vehicle management.
As the government body responsible for maintaining a database of drivers and vehicles in the UK, DVLA plays a crucial role in ensuring that all motorists keep their vehicle tax up to date unless their vehicle is exempt. Drivers who fail to tax their vehicle could face severe penalties, including hefty fines, court action, and the risk of having their vehicle clamped or even seized. According to DVLA, compliance is high, with less than 2 per cent of vehicles untaxed. In a recent update on Tuesday, the DVLA encouraged drivers to use a short amount of time to "make life a little easier" for themselves.
The post continued: "Make life a little easier, it only takes around 5 minutes", reports the Liverpool Echo. An account can be set up online here.
