Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson had a 'life-changing day' when he visited veterans at the Walter Reed Military Hospital on Wednesday.
In a particularly touching moment, a young boy lightened the mood by joking that his medical treatment had given him the same haircut as the famous movie star: a clean shave. Dwayne took to his Instagram to share an emotional video in which he thanked soldiers for their service at the nation's largest military medical center, located in Bethesda, Maryland
Formerly called the National Naval Medical Center, Walter Reed has offered medical care for veterans and several US presidents since its opening in 1940. 'At the end of the year . . . in 2022 I got a visit from the parties, asking me if I was going to run and if I could run,' Johnson said. 'It was a big deal. And it came out of the blue. And it was one after the other.'
