The Department for Work and Pensions is rolling out a £15 million funding boost
The Department for Work and Pensions has confirmed a significant Universal Credit announcement, as it unveils a £15 million uplift. The DWP is implementing a £15 million funding increase for the Help to Claim initiative that is poised to aid thousands transitioning from Employment and Support Allowance .
This fresh infusion of funds comes on the heels of the budget announcement by Labour Party's Chancellor Rachel Reeves, which expedited benefit changes with over 800,000 claimants currently receiving the older ESA being shifted to Universal Credit by March 2026, advancing from the former deadline of 2028.
