The festive bank holidays will mean a change to payment dates
Bank holidays and weekends will cause a shift in payment dates around the festive period. This will affect those who receive child benefit, Universal Credit or tax credits.

The dates are tweaked every year due to Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year's Day, reports CoventryLIve.The official guidance states: "Benefits are usually paid straight into your bank, building society or credit union account. If your payment date is on a weekend or a bank holiday you'll usually be paid on the working day before. This may be different for tax credits and Child Benefit.
