Millions of people are eligible for £900
The Department for Work and Pensions has announced a number of different support schemes today. This includes a £900 cash boost for more than eight million people on means-tested benefits.
However, this means some of the funds will not be available until 2024. The government has not yet announced complete payment windows for the installments, but they say the first £301 installment will come in Spring 2023, the second £300 installment will come in Autumn 2023 and the third £299 payment will come in Spring 2024.
If you are eligible for one of these payments, it will be deposited in your bank automatically with no need to apply for any of them. According to the government, if you are eligible for one of the payments, but received only tax credit and no means-tested benefits, you will get the money from HMRC shortly after the DWP payments are made.
