Support is available during the ongoing cost of living crisis
These payments were first announced by Rishi Sunak when he was Chancellor. Every household was told they would receive a £400 discount on their energy bill, given out in instalments starting last October.
People may receive this payment in a number of ways. Those on direct debits will receive the discount automatically and others will have the money credited into their energy account every month.Running until March 31, 2023, this scheme entitles £25 to people on low incomes when temperatures hit sub-zero over a seven-day period. Money is paid to anyone eligible who is registered with the Department for Work and Pensions to receive a qualifying benefits payment.
