The Department for Work and Pensions has issued an update regarding the £300 cost of living payment this winter.
Am I eligible for the £300 pensioner cost of living payment? To qualify for the Winter Fuel Payment, you need to have been born on or before September 25, 1956, and resided in the UK one or more days during the qualifying week of September 19 to 25. The Winter Fuel Payment, as well as the £300 cost of living payment, is not taxable and will not impact your eligibility for other benefits. However, the exact amount you receive will depend on your individual circumstances.
