Personal Independence Payments offer crucial support to thousands of UK households grappling with long-term physical or mental health conditions and disabilities. This benefit provides additional funds to those who find everyday tasks challenging or have difficulty moving around due to a health condition.
However, PIP rates are set to rise by 1.7 percent from April 7, 2025, which will increase the maximum amount you could get to £9,747.40. The new rates from April next year are: Lower weekly rate - rising from £72.65 to £73.90; Higher weekly rate - rising from £108.55 to £110.40; Lower weekly rate - rising from £28.70 to 30.20; Higher weekly rate - rising from £75.75 to £77.05.
If a review is slated, claimants receive a missive with 'Award review - how your disability affects you' form attached, which is due back within a month's time for Department for Work and Pensions scrutiny.
