The payments will be made between October 31 and November 19
Millions of people will receive a £300 cost of living payment from the Department of Work and Pensions over the coming months.
The DWP will send the payment automatically and directly to recipients, meaning there is no need for people to actively apply. A small portion of recpiants will instead receive their payment from HM Revenue and Customs Payments are due to be paid by the DWP between October 31 and November 19, with the HMRC payments made between November 10 and 19. The payment reference for bank accounts will be the recipient’s National Insurance Number followed by DWP COL or HMRC COLS.
To receive the payment from HMRC, you need to have received a payment of tax credits for any day in the period between August 18 and September 17.
