Payouts would affect women born in the 1950s who lost out due to changes to the State Pension age
Women born in specific years may soon receive a pay-out from the Department for Work and Pensions , following controversial State Pension changes. The Prime Minister has reportedly announced that an update is on the horizon - and it will especially impact campaigners known as WASPI women.
Women fighting in this campaign claim they weren't correctly informed that their State Pension age would increase. Countless retirement dreams were dashed as a result when the 1995 Conservative Government increased State Pension age for women from 60 to 65, spanning between April 2010 and 2020.
