People eligible might not be claiming
A number of people have been warned by the Department for Work and Pensions that they could be missing out on payments that will soon be worth up to £201 each week.
The warning comes after Age UK recently estimated that around a third of pensioners eligible to claim Pension Credit are still missing out on the cash.As reported by the Liverpool Echo, pension Credit is a tax-free payment for those who have reached State Pension age and live in the UK. The government department has previously said there are common misconceptions that may be putting people off applying for Pension Credit.
