Sean Dyche was speaking to preview Everton Premier League match against Brighton this afternoon
Sean Dyche has opened up about the behind-the-scenes changes he has made to ensure his Everton side is capable of meeting the demands of the Premier League.
"I never question previous managers because everyone has their own style," Dyche explained. "I have mine - and part of it is to be fit. I think it is relevant to the modern game, I think it is relevant to modern sport, there are very few successful individuals and teams who aren't fit. “It is just a few changes to formats on the training ground. We have done a bit more literal coaching - stop and stand still coaching - mixed with coaching as the game is going on. There are things we have changed from last season to push it in the right way.”“Early part of the week is generic, making sure the fitness is alright. Usually, Wednesday and Thursday might be more tactical.
“Rather than literal running time, physically being on your legs. Tiny bits. As Sir Dave Brailsford always said, the one percent. Those little margins, but you add them all together and it makes for a bigger margin." “Not always running or anything. Just each part of the session we do, we will add time on. There is not really an exact time; again, going back to stats, we have a live feed, so you are looking at the mark on that as well.
