The ending of a game that made the Eagles 8-1 isn't the only thing that went viral on Sunday.
on Sunday afternoon, some couldn’t help but notice the red underwear of a staffer who got knocked down during the third quarter.Matt Leo, the defensive and football operations assistant, took ownership but corrected the claim on Instagram after the game, writing, with smiley-face emojis, “Caught me lackin. 8-1....I’m rocking these ALL season lolll!! @psdunderwear I need more colors”
Leo was standing near the sideline when he was upended as Cowboys speedster KaVontae Turpin was pushed out of bounds on a second-and-15 play by Eagles linebacker Zach Cunningham. As he was patted on the back and helped up by a staffer, that’s when his bright red underwear appeared. The 6-7 former defensive end spent the majority of his time as a player on the practice squad and never played an NFL game. He retired in July 2023 and then transitioned to a coaching role.
