Eamonn Holmes has paid tribute to his friend of 40 years, Gloria Hunniford, after she announced the death of her husband, Stephen Way, saying he 'feels the pain' of his friend
Eamonn Holmes has shown his support for his friend, Gloria Hunniford , following the heartbreaking news of her husband's passing. Stephen Way, 85, was married to the Loose Women star for two decades. Gloria confessed that his death, which she announced on Wednesday 14 August, would leave a "huge void" in her life.
Stephen, a well-known celebrity hairdresser, passed away on Tuesday 13 August after a "heroic fight" with an illness, according to his family. Speaking publicly about her loss for the first time today, Gloria said: "Stephen was a gentleman and a giant of a man, who will leave the most enormous void not only in my life, but our entire family. He was an incredibly kind, generous, and caring man, with a delightfully quirky sense of humour, which remained till the end.
Gloria and her husband Stephen tied the knot at St Peter's Church in Kent back in 1998, with their celebrations continuing at the stunning Hever Castle. Last year marked their 25th wedding anniversary, which they celebrated by revisiting that very location.
