Eamonn Holmes has publicly reached out to his soon-to-be ex-wife Ruth Langsford for the first time since they announced their divorce in June. After months of silence, the former This Morning host, who is now in a new relationship, liked one of Ruth's recent Instagram posts about her hopes for a family Christmas. Loose Women host Ruth took to social media to share the news that her 93-year-old mother had been hospitalized due to a tragic fall, reports the Mirror.
She also shared alongside the post a snap that featured her mother's clasped hands and a half-finished crossword, with a caption reading: 'Hospital visit....thank you all so much for your lovely messages and well wishes for my darling Mum. She'll be in hospital for a bit longer yet, but she's in pretty good spirits considering and I hope she'll be home for Christmas.' The post received thousands of likes, with the likes of Cat Deeley and Loose Women's Nadia Sawalha liking the photo, as well as ex Eamonn showing support for his former mother-in-law. Ruth had previously shared an update with her followers regarding her mum Joan's health after a previous fall this month that fractured her pelvis, disrupting their Christmas plans. She said: 'No dancing in my kitchen peeling the veg for my darling Mum this Christmas. She's ok...ish, no surgery required thank goodness but she needs rest and time to heal now. She's in hospital at the moment but I'm hoping to get her home soon.' Ruth's mother's health concerns come whilst the star is in the middle of finalizing her divorce to ex-husband Eamonn, and they are in full discussion about what to do with their £3.5 million home.
