Eamonn Holmes is said to have left This Morning due to a slump in ratings and the programme's boss Martin Frizell's dislike of his on-screen eating habits, according to insiders close to Phillip Schofield . Reports named Martin as one of the "three s**ts" by Phillip, which also included ITV 's Emma Gormley and his former close friend Holly Willoughby .
"Ruth was a delight and was loved by the team. Eamonn was not as popular." Sources previously claimed that Eamonn's segments on This Morning pulled in strong ratings compared to other Friday presenters. After being replaced by Alison Hammond and Dermot O'Leary for the Friday slot, Eamonn left ITV after a year and joined GB News, where he continues to present the Breakfast Show, reports OK!.
"Eamonn's reported animosity towards Phillip and his bitterness over leaving ITV allegedly created tension in his marriage to Ruth, who still appears on Loose Women. A source close to Eamonn, who has since started dating 42-year-old Katie Alexander, revealed that he doesn't regret his public comments despite the potential strain on his marriage.
The insider also alleged that Eamonn harbours strong feelings towards Phillip Schofield and is unapologetic about his comments. "He doesn't regret any of his behaviour.
