The North Belfast TV presenter said: 'I do have a big regret, and it's a worry with me'
Eamonn Holmes has opened up on his 'big regret'. Despite his love for animals, especially his rescue dog Maggie, the 64-year-old is upset that he hasn't been able to completely avoid eating meat products.
The North Belfast man added: "I think it's because we've all lost the connection to where meat comes from.READ MORE: Eamonn Holmes grimaces in pain as he shares health update after fall The TV presenter also gave fans an insight into his home life with wife Ruth Langsford and their adopted Collie mix, Maggie. Eamonn said: "I have never experienced affection like it - unconditional love", reports the Express."No human can ever offer you what a dog can offer you," Eamonn explained. "I hope I become the person my dog thinks I am!" Eamonn is a big fan of the Dogs Trust, who he and Ruth adopted Maggie from.
Many were being bred for sale in Asian markets, facing almost certain death. Over the years, Eamonn has passionately advocated for rescuing animals out of suffering."I think we all would be much better people if we just learnt how to evolve our relationship with how to speak, how to be kind, how to communicate, how to cooperate with animals."
