He made the comments in the wake of news that Schofield will be appearing in a Channel 5 documentary where he gives his side of the story.

Eamonn Holmes has said he's "proud" to have thrown his former This Morning co-star Phillip Schofield "under the bus" after years working together. The GB News presenter launched into a fresh attack on his one-time This Morning co-star on his TV show this morning - insisting: "I believe he is where he deserves to be."

Phillip, 62, has spoken at length at being thrown under the bus by TV colleagues, saying that he feels "utterly betrayed" and will never return to daytime presenting., where he was a huge star alongside Holly Willoughby on ITV's This Morning. Phillip fumed: ""They know that when you throw someone under a bus, you've got to have a really b****y good reason to do it. Brand, ambition is not good enough. It's not a good enough reason to throw someone under a bus."

Speaking about his departure last year he said: "I did have a consensual on-off relationship with a younger male colleague at This Morning.
