The 62-year-old former This Morning host first spoke about his chronic pain battle last year

Eamonn Holmes has revealed he's set to undergo surgery in the hopes of it relieving his chronic pain. The 62-year-old first spoke about his chronic pain battle last year before he later discovered following an MRI scan that his pain began when he "mysteriously" dislocated his pelvis.

And just like with Eamonn sparked concerns amongst his fans over a message about his chronic pain. In a tweet posted at 1.30am, after spending days away from the GB News studio to report outside, the TV presenter said: "Hello all my #ChronicPain sufferers... I know [it's] not much help but it does help a little I feel to know we are not alone. Therefore from time to time I make these posts so some of you can share stories and just talk to someone who knows what you are going through.

Now it appears Eamonn is undergoing more serious action to battle his suffering as he revealed he's booked in for surgery on Wednesday . Explaining what the operation will entail, the veteran broadcaster said: "This week a surgeon will cut into my back to hopefully relieve pressure on my sciatic nerves.

He then added in the Express : "I pray that God will guide my surgeon’s hand this week and help me get back to the man I used to be." Eamonn also spoke about why he reaches out to his large online following when he suffers more serious flare ups of his chronic pain.
