🔴 Teams worked through the night as efforts continue to rescue survivors from the 7.8 magnitude earthquake that hit Turkey and Syria on Monday

Rescue teams continued to work through the night into Wednesday as efforts continue to rescue survivors from the, as the death toll across Turkey and neighbouring Syria surpassed 8,700.

In Turkey, around 60,000 people are now supporting the rescue effort in the quake-hit south eastern region of the country, however many are still waiting for help due to the level of devastation caused by the earthquake. Rescue workers carry Yigit Cakmak, 8-years-old survivor at the site of a collapsed building 52 hours after the earthquake struck, on February 08, 2023 in Hatay, Turkey.
