A Christian preacher has claimed Australians are being trained to be 'easily offended' after he was hauled before the Queensland Human Rights Commission over his views on Indigenous Welcome to Country ceremonies.

Christian preacher who refused to do Welcome to Country points out the big issue with Australian society after being dragged before Qld Human Rights Commission

Mr Pellowe explained Aboriginal traditional religion and Christianity were"incompatible" and"no authentic, loving Christian should mix the two" during an interview with 2GB's Ben Fordham last week. Speaking on Sky News Australia's The Bolt Report on Tuesday night, Mr Pellowe said the reason he did not read out a Welcome to Country was simply because he was"not pagan".

Mr Pellowe said he only had"compassion" for the person who made the complaint against him and suggested there was a bigger issue at hand in Australia that led to people becoming"easily offended". "I feel a great deal of compassion for people who are in these prisons of unforgiveness which actually have no lock, they can walk out of them any time with a choice. Reconciliation will happen when forgiveness is as common as apology."

Mr Pellowe reiterated he had no bad blood with the man, but rather how freedom of speech has been affected in Australia in recent years.
