The project was created in partnership with Glentoran FC, 5th Element and the Rio Ferdinand Foundation
A group of young people from East Belfast have helped create a graffiti mural wall on the side of Glentoran FC's The Oval stadium
The cross-community project run by the Rio Ferdinand Foundation in partnership with Glentoran FC, 5th Element, and Choice Housing, was designed to give young people in the area a positive outlet to express themselves under the guidance of two local artists. Karla McDermott of The Rio Ferdinand Foundation thanked everyone who had supported the project and that it had a terrific impact on those involved and giving them a new outlet to express themselves in ways they may have not done before.
"When we first said to the group that we would be working on an art project, they weren't really sure if they were going to enjoy it, but once they learned that they would be spray painting graffiti, they threw themselves into it.
