A new payment to help residents with the the cost of living crisis has been made available by East Dunbartonshire
The Household Support Payment will be on a first-come, first-served basis from Wednesday, November 1 until all funds have been allocated. And to be successful the applicant must either be single and earning less than £17,500 per year and have less than £800 in savings, be part of a couple with no dependents living with them or have a joint income that is less than £25,000 a year and joint savings less than £1,200.
Councillor Gordan Low, council leader, said, “In our 2023/2024 budget we announced a range of cost-of-living measures to support people across East Dunbartonshire as we continue to navigate a difficult economic landscape.
