A major road is closed after a man fell from a bridge. Police were called to East Lancashire Road near the junctions of Rainford Road and Abbey Road in St Helens at around 1.20pm on Friday, October 25. A spokesperson for Merseyside Police confirmed a man had fallen from a bridge in the area. It is unclear the extent of the man's injuries and emergency services are currently at the scene, including police and the ambulance service.
' According to traffic management system Inrix there is 'slow traffic' in the area. It added: 'A580 East Lancashire Road closed in both directions, slow traffic due to police incident from Moss Bank Road to A570 Rainford Road .'
