It's May half term in Great Britain, and that means one thing: holidays. Families from Nottinghamshire , Derbyshire and Leicestershire alike have been jetting off in their thousands - daily - to hot and sunny destinations all over the world to take advantage of the cheaper prices before the summer holidays in July.
East Midlands Airport, near Castle Donington, is the departure point for most holidaymakers from all three counties. With more than 90 destinations on its list, planes from EMA's runways jet off every day to dozens of European destinations and a number in Africa and North America. But what actually goes on there on a day-to-day basis and what's it like to work there? More than five million passengers pass through the airport annually and more than 6,000 people are thought to be employed there for a huge number of companies operating from within.
