East Village triple stabbing leaves 1 dead and 1 in critical condition, NYPD says
A man was killed and two others were wounded in a stabbing in Manhattan’s East Village on Sunday afternoon, according to police, who said they took a 30-year-old man into custody at the scene.
NYPD officials said police received 911 calls about multiple stabbings and arrived at the scene to find a 38-year-old man stabbed in the neck, a 51-year-old woman stabbed in the leg and a 32-year-old man stabbed in the back. The NYPD said officers recovered a “cutting instrument” but is still investigating what spurred the stabbings. Police did not immediately release the name of the man who was killed and did not yet have details about how the suspect was related to the three victims.
