Dot Cotton left Albert Square for Ireland back in 2020, leaving granddaughter Dotty as the only person from her family tree left on EastEnders - but it nearly came to an end
EastEnders bosses shelved their plans for their controversial storyline that would have seen Dot Cotton's association with Walford come to an end.
Dotty, played by Milly Zero, was stunned to find out that Nick Cotton, Dot's good-for-nothing son who terrorised his mother over the years, may have not been her real father. But after Vinny Panesar told Rocky that he could have been Dotty's biological father, the two sat down and cleared the air. In a special EastEnders episode airing this winter, Dot’s friends and family will come together to say their final farewells at her funeral after news of her death reaches Albert Square.
